Disaster Recovery and ISO17799

Disaster recovery and business continuity management occupies a whole section of ISO17799. The standard is very clear in its demands for a formal approach and for the creation of a quality plan.

On the other side of the coin, compliance with ISO17799 represents a statement on your disaster recovery arrangements. Compliance gives assurance that the plan is sound and that the disaster recovery practises are likely to be adequate.

Compliance with this internationally recognized standard of course is growing in importance.  But how do you achieve this? How do you manage the compliance process? How do you know where you stand in relation to the demands of the standard?
